For Today
For Today is an American Christian metalcore band that formed in 2005, in Iowa. The band is currently signed to Facedown Records. The band gets its name from the idea of proclaiming the world to Christianity and teaching its ways. They have released 2 albums via Facedown Records, played over 700 shows and have traveled to 6 countries in the end of 2009.
In 2008, the band released their first album entitled “Ekklesia” on April 1. The album included 10 music tracks ranging from peaceful instrumental solos and synth to hardcore breakdowns which attracted a large amount of sales toward the album. The music video for the song Agape, the most popular song on the Ekklesia album, was later made by the band under the direction of Cale Glendening and copyrighted by the bands record label Facedown Records. Their second album entitled “Portraits” which included 10 tracks of music released by the band on June 9 of 2009 under the same label. The band also covers many of Christian related songs while on tour and goes to churches and other places to worship God with many other people.
