Swashbuckle is a piratical thrash metal metal band from New Jersey, United States which formed in early year of 2005. The band is piratical influenced and draw music influences from bands such as Running Wild, Exodus, Ghoul, Frightmare, Blind Guardian, Ensiferum and Testament.

With the forces of the three pirates combined, they completed their first demo in mid 2005. Late 2005, saw the release of their second demo entitled “Yo-Ho Demo”, which featured a more musically developed direction by the pirates. After extensive playing in the local scene, they focused their time in recording their first full-length. In 2006, saw the release of their debut album “Crewed by the Damned”, well received by fans and critics alike. After numerous weekends and local shows, they embarked on their first US tour in August of 2007, where they plundered and pilfered the East Coast and Midwest of the states and later signed to Nuclear Blast Records. In 2009, they release their sophomore album and debut on Nuclear Blast Records entitled “Back to the Noose”. In early 2010, they will co-headline Korpiklaani’s tour alongside with Tyr and White Wizzard.
