Dreaming Dead

Dreaming Dead is a female fronted metal band from Los Angeles, California, United States. The band was formed in 2006, which they are a quickly rising force in extreme metal, garnering significant national and international attention over the years which was they has been together. The band released their first recording in the summer of 2006, a four-song demo entitled “Through the Eyes of Insanity” under the previous band name of Manslaughter. The reviews for that release were stellar, leaving listeners aching for more of the blackened, death-thrash attack that they find to be reminiscent of Death, Slayer, Cryptopsy, and Opeth.

After several years, the band change their name to Dreaming Dead stating that “Manslaughter is such a limited concept, and in dreams and death there is infinity.” They released their debut album ‘Within One’, which was released on Ibex Moon Records in January 20, 2009. It has eight songs that are painstakingly composed, exploring various tempos, intensities and genres. They’re supporting Nile on “Those Whom The Gods Detest” Latin American Tour in 2010.
