Nervecell

Nervecell is a death metal band based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates founded in 1999. The members are not UAE nationals, they are only residents of the country. As one of the first heavy metal bands in the region, they made their debut performance at the Battle of the Bands 2001 in the country’s capital Abu Dhabi. They released a 2-track demo entitled Vastlands Of Abomination. Followed up by an EP “Human Chaos”, which grabbed a lot attention from both the underground scene in local and international. Their debut album “Preaching Venom” was released on May 1, 2008.

The band always played at Dubai Desert Rock Festival, in 2008 alongside with Korn, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, Slapshock. On 2009, with Chimaira, August Burns Red, Opeth, Arch Enemy and headliners Motorhead. They also played at various festivals such as Metalstock Open Air Festival, Rock IM Park Festival, Rock AM Ring Festival, With Full Force Festival, Wacken Open Air, Way of Darkness Festival, Metal GDL Festival, Occultfest, New Jam Festival and many more. In early 2010, they will be joining the Suffocation’s “Legacy of Blood European Tour”.
